The world of art, antiques, collector items, home decor contents and other forms of Personal Property is infinitely diverse, and in our nearly 40 years of preparing appraisal reports for our clients, we have had the privilege to work with many wonderful items of furniture, paintings and sculptures, rare Oriental rugs, silver wares, porcelains, antiques, fine decor, jewellery and watches, coins and stamps, and so much more. Gothic Revival Salon Set

5 piece Victorian Gothic Revival mahogany salon
set, including set, pair of armchairs and a pair of
armless salon chairs, the squared massive frames
with carved lion head capitals flanked by urn finials
and piereced decorated backrests, all upholstered
in pale salmon tone foliate pattern satin. Late 19th Century, England.

Italian Renaissance Library Suite

A fine antique 19th Century 3 piece Italian Renaissance Revival carved ebony and bone inlay library suite, with slant front secretary bookcase cabinet and pair of chairs, the secretary with two door glazed upper section with
original glass panels and two internal storage shelves, the base with sloped fall-front writing surface above a full width frieze drawer, with
interior compartment and four drawers. On baluster legs with elaborate scrolled stretcher
support. Together with a pair of matching tallback chairs with shell carved finials. The three pieces all intricately decorated with fine bone
inlays of martial, portrait medallion, scrolling tracery, Neo Classical scenes and other motifs to both interior and exterior surfaces. Circa
1850-1870. Possibly by the Milan cabinetmaker Joseph Bertin.
